Lee Shackleford here: This is my “dream project,” the show I’ve always wanted to make. I love radio drama, I love science fiction, and I love performing as a voice actor. So I created a sci-fi radio drama in which I could play a leading role.
And because I don’t have unlimited resources, I conceived this as one long conversation between two people… banking heavily on the participation of my favorite voice actor, Alana Jordan (star of, among other things, Herlock).
The show quickly expanded beyond the “two people talking” thing, and now features a rich collection of characters and exotic locations. I am forever grateful to Stephanie Lindsay, Clarence Brown, Sean Michael McCord, Scott Woodard, Jorge Castro Salinas, Scottye Moore, Kyle Jones, Marissa Hebson … and the host of synthetic voices generated by Amazon Polly.
Now we have thousands of listeners all over the world! Relativity has grown from a private fantasy of mine to being something that is entertaining and intriguing people all over the planet. And who knows? Maybe some intelligences elsewhere are enjoying it too…
